Admitted students - Did you guys receive a call from area code 734 or Private Number? Cornell called me from a Private Number. I ask this because I will not be able to take any calls tomorrow as we have to attend a training session from 9-5 PST.

Mine came from the Detroit area code, which I'm guessing is 734...

Just texted my 734 area code friends asking them not to call me tomorrow If i see a missed call from 734, I am going to start drinking

It depends on who calls. I've read that both scenarios have occurred.

I have read that they won't leave you a voicemail if your outgoing message does not identify you by name (e.g. "hi this is bob....). Might be a good idea to switch from the automated message just in case!

last year, I had an automated voice message system, meaning it just said my phone number, and I was left a voicemail by Jon Fuller. It was also promptly followed up with an email. Good luck to everyone tomorrow!
