NEW BLOG UPDATE!!!

Soojin seems like the greatest person ever. If only all schools followed Ross's lead!

I agree with both statements. Not to knock any schools, but it seems that many of Ross' peer schools enjoy playing the cards very close to their chests. Now I certainly can understand this to an extent given the often fervent nature of this application process. At the same time I wonder how much of the secrecy is out of necessity and how much is a passive effort to sort of build this air of mystery and prestige. I'm sure thoughts like this won't help my case though lol. Anyways good luck to all the applicants! I just got my interview invite (I'm R3) and I hope to see guys around Ann Arbor!

Totally agree with you.
Especially the way that Ross openly encourages Applicants to refrain from using consultants is very encouraging for international candidates like me.

Yes, you can be waitlisted without interview.

You have to love the transparency of their admissions process.

US Applicants to receive calls next week on Tuesday and Wednesday (12th and 13th).

International Applicants on Thursday (14th).

Good luck all!

Does this mean that if i don't get a call on the 14th i am a goner? I am an international student. The email I got said that admissions will be posted on 12 EST on the 15th?

Yeah I do think it means you are wait listed or dinged generally if you don't get a call on the 14th. I also love the transparency, but it makes me anxious to know that if I don't get a call on Tuesday (I live in LA) I am toast. Really really hoping I get the call...

I think it's safe to assume that there can be R1 WL movement on the 15th.
So WL people too can expect a call on the 14th, no?

Yes, if you've already had your interview. Good luck!

"The plan is for all decisions to be final by Monday. Admit calls will begin on Tuesday, March 12. Regarding the sequence of the calls, we're going to prioritize calls to candidates in U.S. cities in which we'll be hosting admitted student events beginning March 16 and through the following week: NY, DC, Boston, Chicago, San Fran, LA. We'll share details about dates/times via the calls and follow-up emails. Admits in other U.S. cities will be called on March 12-13, and international students will be contacted on March 14. "

I wonder if we can take this to mean that if we live in one of the above-named cities and are not called on the 12th, we're either dinged or WL'ed. If so, this effectively moves my decision notification date to Tuesday as I'm in one of those cities!

Definitely going to need to take a Xanax on Monday night to get to (and stay) asleep
