Hey catalan1980,

I am tempted to say ... Look for schools with solid Healthcare Mgmt MBA programs, but that won't really get you that much closer to your goals if you want to go the entrepreneurial route with a VC backed firm. I think that perhaps a program with a strong finance representation and a healthcare mgmt would help you out a little more - so that would mean Wharton and Columbia for starters.

You know this, a CFA may be necessary but not sufficient. VC means having been in the seat and possessing a head with a few gray hairs.

Respectfully,
Paul Lanzillotti

Hi Paul,

Post MBA i would like to work in a medical device startup, preferably venture backed. Then I would like to transition to an EIR role in a VC firm, eventually moving to the VC management side (one of the reasons i have also been pursuing the CFA). I have already started to interface with these VC firms in my current role in BD

I hope this adds more color to my plans post-MBA. I'm very passionate about medical technology and i believe my essays, letters of recommendations and my interviews will convey this.

Could you suggest some schools that will fit this profile well?

Best Regards,
V
