Hey Prof,

I have a question on housing at Simon. How does on campus housing compare to off campus at Simon. Which one would you suggest to a prospective student and what are the reasons in terms of cost, comfort, accessibility to campus and facilities etc.?

I recently received my admissions offer via email from Simon. My profile is below:

Female
GMAT - 610
Undergrad GPA - 3.4, Grad GPA - 3.8
Education in Biomedical Engineering
Currently working in research industry - 2.5 years of work experience
Have invented a technology and developed 5 research products. Currently marketing and earning royalties on those products aside from working full-time
Want to focus on marketing and entrepreneurship
Strong essays with clear description of why b-school, why marketing, and why now
Justification for a low GMAT score
Solid community service
Foreign work experience and well-traveled in general

Interview
My interview was with an Adcom member. It was very conversational and very relaxing. I was asked a lot of the application essay questions as well as why Simon is the best fit for me. In addition, I was asked for examples where I had demonstrated leadership skills and team work. Strengths and weaknesses were asked. Finally, there was a question about if you get accepted at every school you have applied; which one would you choose and why (have a good answer for this one). I also received 40k in scholarship and I am hoping to get more $ by participating in Case Competitions during the scholarship weekend.

Just had my interview. It was with a skype interview with an adcom member that is also current PT MBA student. I was very nervous but it was a very nice conversation with no surprises.

Walked her through my resume. Had questions regarding some specific points in the resume - business related and community activity related. Talked about what I want to get from MBA program. And asked her several questions regarding career center and her experience in school.

Overall, I think it went pretty well.
