Indian candidate. R2 waitlist. Someone mentioned alumni letter of recommendations. Is this standard practice? Unless you hv worked with an alum, would they actually be forthcoming to give u a recommendation?
can waitlisted students still get financial aid or scholarships if they are admitted?

Only get an alum rec if youve worked for the person. If you approach someone on the street and say "hey, you went to booth..can you write me a rec?", they'd say no and proceed to think you're a weirdo.
