Following prior year trends, I thought I'd open up an area specifically for Admitted Students to exchange information. I just found the "Community Directory" and you can search for people in your current city and see the name of everyone who has been admitted. Good tool if you're interested in meeting up with local admits. You can find the Community Directory either by logging into the portal and clicking on the button on the right or by logging into the admitted students site and using the link on the left.

Hi. I am a University of Chicago alum and am looking to rent out my condo in downtown Chicago near Michigan and Randolph. I need a sanity check. So who's having trouble finding room mates? I contacted a lot of people using the Booth room mate excel, but so far the response has been luke warm. Is this because it's too early or because everyone's paired up already?

I feel like a lot of people I would've liked to live with are either already paired up, or it's a mismatch in living style/amenities preferences/etc. Have you tried talking to Cheetarah? She was looking for a roommate! And she is awesome.

Since I can't chime in on the roommate situation because I'll be rooming with my GF, I'll ask a different question - where is everyone looking to live? Has anyone signed a lease? I'm looking in the South Loop mostly since I'll be bringing 2 dogs and it seems more pet-friendly.
