Just a funny story to share - I wanted to confirm something in my email and wrote "stanford" in the search field. It turned out that I have received the Round 2 reminder - the same as some people on the forum - but it didn't show up in my inbox. I searched my inbox for a potential invite but no luck :) Pity :)

Also got an interview last night / this morning (US based). Also surprised. I have a strong background in some ways, but I've got my share of warts too. I figured I'd probably not get an invite, but if I did, it'd be a happy surprise.

To those waiting: good luck at Stanford and elsewhere! I know how stressful it can sometimes feel.
To those who've received late invites: good luck to you, too. Do you think it means anything that we got our invites in a late wave? I know, I know... Stanford says this is a myth, but it seems odd for a bunch of invites to all go out at the end.

Thanks! For what it's worth, I had given up hope and actually checked the forums this morning to see if anyone else had good news before I even realized there was an invitation sitting in my inbox... much different from my prior obsessive email checking! I guess it ain't over til it's over. Best of luck everyone!

I had the same thought, but based on what was said before about them still having a lot to review this week and getting the invite at 10:30pm PT on a Sunday leads me to believe they were just behind and working late to get them done. At least that's what the optimist in me says :)

Honestly, I was expecting a ding so I'm just grateful for the opportunity to interview, even if I get dinged in 2 weeks anyway.
