I got that message 3 times before it finally told me that I was scheduled.

No email yet for me. I am waiting for the email. I want to make sure I follow the directions of the school rather than go rogue and schedule it on my own. Not sure if I'll lose out on my spot or not.

Nothing prohibits you from logging into the system - you are not hacking into it. Moreover, they never explicitly mentioned it would come in an email:

I would go ahead and book before slots run out.

*Edit: email just came thru.

No luck after multiple attempts. Maybe they're not sending out the email because they're still debugging the system... and maybe my attempts to sign up for an interview aren't helping any. So I figure I'll pause for a bit and come back to the site in 5-10m.

I just got the email although I have already scheduled my interview and received confirmation.

It seems few people have been inviteded, doesn't it? In the Gmat Club, just seven, and in the Beat the GMAT, I guess just two. Obviously, there are many people who don't visit these forums, but I remember that in R1 more people in these forums said that they were invited.
Also, I have the feeling that they invite according to the location of the hub cities. What do you think?

It seems that way, but the easiest way to do it would be to compare across the last 3 years or so. I did some quick calculations using the threads from 2010-2013. Took the # of reported applicants here on GMAT Club for R2 and the reported interviews out of that number. Make of them what you will. See the attached file.

Looking back over the data, there isn't a clear pattern in whether R1 percentages hold up in R2. For the classes of 2015 and 2014, there was a big difference. For 2015, the percentage was the same between rounds. For class of 2014, it was 10% R2 vs 19% R1. The previous year, R2 had 49% interview while R1 only had 17%.

My interview confirmation email came with a blank location field. Anyone else have this issue? (I scheduled on campus and selected my first choice of time etc...)

This is probably a secret test before the interview. It is either a test of persistence or patience. :-)

I was able to register for my interview after only 3 attempts, but then I had about 25 attempts before I could register for a class visit on my interview day.

Successfully registered for Dubai after 3-4 tries (also got the "500" error). It looked like there were no more than about a half-dozen spots left in Dubai after I secured mine.

Best of luck over the next few weeks everyone. Though I am no expert, here is some of the best advice I've heard on being a good interviewee (and I suppose for career success in general):

(https://www.businessinsider.com/lloyd-bl ... ns-2013-10)

"I came to golf late, and it's stupid, and anyone who saw me play would be really weirded out that a I use a golf metaphor because I'm so bad. But they always tell you if you hold the club tight it won't go as far and it won't go as straight and if you're loose and your hands are like strings it will whip around and go faster. So less energy is actually more. Loose is better than a hard grip. I think that applies to your careers and your life too. If you're loose and comfortable, you may not only be happier you may actually be more successful if you're so focused and tightly wound about things. So lighten up." Lloyd Blankfein
