If you can't pay off 100k with a job at JP Morgan, you're doing it wrong. Take the Duke offer, and don't look back. Live your life with no regrets. 100k is going to be your second year bonus in banking. It may sound crazy now, but it won't once you've got that job, and you'll be happy having attained your childhood dream of attending Duke.

This post of yours is making me rethink my admission decision.

For what it's worth, I'm quite familiar with the banking industry. You will see Duke grads on Wall St at top banks. I didn't meet Vandy people at a top bank, but did see some at a smaller trading shop and mid market southern banks like Raymond James.

Would the scholarship be worth it if you make less money or get a less desirable job in the end? Recruiting is what you make of it but Wall Street is notoriously prestige conscious. The reputation of your school will absolutely follow you even after your first job.

Additionally, you'll have to deal with having a smaller NYC network as a result of fewer people from Vandy being here. That impacts networking opportunities as well as social life. What's that worth to you?

UPDATE: I got multiple offers from all the banks that I talked to. A ton of banks have added Vanderbilt as a core school. I am going to Wells Fargo with 2 other classmates. Looking back it is definitely the right decision that I came to Vanderbilt. The guy that said there are not Vanderbilt alumni at top banks is crazy. There are a lot and they will go above and beyond to help you get in the door.
