There are many benefits to timing your practice, including:
anyone has been dinged after an interview? or it's common to be accepted if they interview you? I am a bit nervous as my report was submitted 10 days ago.
I applied on 25/Jan, couldn't make it before, was drowning in work I know scholarships are out of the way, but admit wise, is there really no hope for me? When should I expect a response from CBS?
Can't offer insight on chances of admission, but this is Columbia's stated policy on review timing: "For all terms of entry, our goal is either to invite applicants for an interview or deny admission within six weeks of a completed application being received. Our goal for interviewed applicants is to render a final decision within two weeks of the interview report being completed." https://www8.gsb.columbia.edu/programs-admissions/mba/admissions/application-process/review-process
Best of luck to you!

based on data from the detailed applicant table on page one
32/50 of those interviewed were admitted (64%) 18/50 denied with interview (36%)
Hard to say how accurate these numbers are though as people may be less likely to report a ding vs an admit

thank you jessepinkman. I really appreciate your time.
Not many 1/7 applicants have heard back - and most have been dings. I don't have much faith anyway, but I don't think the wait is reflective of a higher chance of being dinged.

Anyone who hasn't received anything at all since submitting an app on 1/7?
From what I read, the more delayed the mail, the more likely to be a ding.
