I interviewed 2/2 but my interview report still hasn't been submitted. Those of you that have done this, is that normal or should I be worried?

My report was submitted within 2 days, but I've heard others say it took up to a week... I wouldn't worry

Good luck to everyone who is waiting to hear back from Columbia. I just finished an analysis of acceptance rate for Columbia that could give you a rough idea of your chance of admission. Best of luck!

I am curious how you are going about completing this analysis. Many of these data points are never released.

I applied on 25/Jan, couldn't make it before, was drowning in work :( I know scholarships are out of the way, but admit wise, is there really no hope for me? When should I expect a response from CBS?

Can't offer insight on chances of admission, but this is Columbia's stated policy on review timing: "For all terms of entry, our goal is either to invite applicants for an interview or deny admission within six weeks of a completed application being received. Our goal for interviewed applicants is to render a final decision within two weeks of the interview report being completed." https://www8.gsb.columbia.edu/programs-admissions/mba/admissions/application-process/review-process

Best of luck to you!

*shrug*

maybe they question why you NEED an MBA.

I think no matter how many times it's said people think top-notch academics equals interview invite....but the story matters as well. Truth be told, many admissions folks have said 720-760 checks the same box. Above 760, they start checking to make sure the person is well-rounded - good EQ to quote NYU.

Sorry it didn't work out for you at CBS but i'm sure you'll get in somewhere!

People are getting dings no interview with 790's and 3.65?!?!
Yikes.

And 5 years of WE with a global top 3 leading oilfield service company.. And 5 promotions. CEO rising star award. Top performer of company leadership program, various best awards, 3 technology patents. Yup.

This.

Columbia really cares about the essays - in particular, the career goals, and why now, and why them. If those are not clear, it's highly unlikely you'll make it very far. They do also care a lot about strong academics (sometimes even more so than high GMAT). We often see people with the strong profile thing and when we look at their essays, it's pretty clear to us why they were turned away.

ETA: We know plenty of Indians, this year and every year, who make it into Columbia. Remember that not everyone is on GMATClub!

A Jan. 25 application to Columbia is a little later than we're comfortable with, especially given what we can see of your profile. :(

This is from 2012 but still directionally relevant: https://essaysnark.com/2012/01/should-i-apply-to-columbia-like-now/
