Does anyone who knows how to deal with wait list situation?
Thought it will be an offer today morning, but it is wait list. So sad and disappointed about it.
Don't know which aspect have the problem. I think the interview is really good and pleasant.
Or actually my background is not strong enough?
Anyone has tips or comments on that?

There is nothing wrong with your background. Also, I'd be surprised if you didn't show or pretend to show enough devotion and love to CBS in interview since CBS is probably your dream school given your background (no offense, just mean you are not typical H/S candidate).
CBS interview is usually not a game changer unless you really screw it. I know people who had perfect interview (from interviewer's prospective) and got dinged, as well as people who had below average interview and got in.
I tend to think that interview at CBS is more like a way to postpone decisions for average over represented pool applicants. Because of its rolling admission process, they may want to hold on for a while to see if there are more qualified applicants from same pool. That explains why some people get decision 2 days after interview and some people get decisions 2 weeks after interview. The first group is either with super strong background or in under represented pool. The second group already passes "background check" but may replace by later applicants easily.
Check my previous post in this thread about my theory of over representative pool. It might be that they only admit very few (think 1-2) Chinese big 4 audit candidates. Therefore even you apply early, they put u in waiting list to see if there are better big 4 candidates later.
All above are just my theories. You probably won't be able to do much about it. Better focus on other schools and keep contact with adcom. If you know CBS alumni/student, they may be able to help you by talking to adcom.
