Yep, there's a sign-up spot for the class visit at the Meredith Room along with coffee, and other nervous applicants. It's pretty nice. All the activities during on-campus interview dates start from the Meredith Room in Spangler. Definitely get there at least 15 minutes before.
I don't think the observer thing is a huge deal either!

Just to break the interview-anxiety tension, I thought I'd post this fun thing making the rounds in my social network today:
HBS first-year student and chemical/environmental activist (who runs a blog called BeautyLiesTruth) got an invitation to apply to L'Oreal summer internships...and posted her reply back to them.

Yes, yes -- it was a form letter / invitation to apply, and surely no one at L'Oreal actually read her resume (THAT much is clear), nor will they actually read her reply, but... I got a kick out of it! So I figured I'd share.

Had my interview earlier this week. Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience, focused almost exclusively on my resume and career choices. The best piece of advice I could give to those who have yet to interview is nothing too profound: know your resume well, be able to justify the key inflection points in your career, and have a few stories prepared for key challenges you faced (professional and extracurricular).
