I have just created a rule for my mailbox saying that any mail from insead.edu automatically goes to a separate folder. Helps a bit when you see the notification and know it is for the regular inbox.

Finished my two interviews!

See below tips

Both were very casual (coffee places) and covered similar questions - it then evolved into a conversation about different topics:
- Tell me about yourself
- Why MBA
- Why INSEAD
- Why not School X
- What would you do if not accepted
- What are your goals after MBA

Both Alumni were very very senior executives, but both friendly and approachable. They had read my profile and job essays and had specific questions about my job and my industry. Coordination was smooth considering that I had a to change one interviewer (one had recently relocated to a different country).

Interesting, when did you hear about the interview decision?
When did you interview?

I was under the impression INSEAD released all of their interview decisions for R1 of Sept intake on Oct 24.

When you applied, an Admissions Officer (AO) sent you an email. IR is the initials of someone's AO.

Done with the interviews as well as I am vacationing in France got to have them here.

Both were very casual, not at all a good cop bad cop situation but a completely at-ease, good natured two way conversation where they both gave me tips about fontainbleu and INSEAD, and really just wanted to get to know me with no hard questions other that why an mba, why now, why insead.


I actually got to see the form the interviewer must send to INSEAD, it speaks of both the communication skills you show in the interview as well as the alumni thoughts on your 3 whys and goals. At the end they can choose to either not recommend you, recommend you for right now or recommend you for later on.

Woke up this morning to my interview invite. I am based in Tennessee and am going to assume they might have trouble finding someone who is an INSEAD alumni in my area so will likely be traveling to a more populated city.

My AO is CT.

CT sent me my invite on the 13th. I'm in the same situation as you, in the middle of rural NC. After about a week of no further correspondence, I sent her an e-mail telling her I was willing to drive to DC if she could find more alumni there. Still waiting for details.
