Wonhok,

It's good to know that someone is in a similar situation. I will post when I hear back from CT. Best of luck scheduling interviews and let me know where you end up traveling. I emailed her back offering to drive to Atlanta as I am certain there are INSEAD alumni there.

Got the heads up. Looks like I'm driving 6 hours to DC. Stoked. Halloween weekend...haha...

Congrats to all those admitted.

Have a quick question on interviews. I reached out to both of my interviewers on October 19th and followed up again on 26th. So far no response from either. Is this common? Planning to wait at least few more days.. but in general what is the reasonable wait time for a response before responding back to AO?

Maybe wait another day and contact your AO. Just inform him/her of when you reached out to the interviewers and that you have not received a reply yet.

In my opinion, 8 days is a pretty long time - maybe reach out to AO tomorrow and explain the situation. I had the same issue with another school, and finally I was re-assigned to another interviewer.

Have you tried calling? AO provided me with phone numbers and e-mails. One of my interviewers didn't respond over the weekend so I just called him. He was cool with it.

I have my first interview on wednesday with an Alum in a pastry shop / cafe. Should I wear a suit to the interview? If not, will a semi formal attire without the blazer be good enough?

Go with the suit. Better to be overdressed than underdressed unless the alum has specifically mentioned anything.
Good Luck.

My interview invitation mail says there is no need to share essays or cv. So, I think we don't have to.

Admissions Officer. He/She is responsible for all communications to the applicant. When you submitted your application, someone from the admissions office would have sent you a mail regarding receipt and completion of your application. He/She is your Admissions Officer or AO.

Got it! I am not an R1 applicant, so nobody from the admissions office contacted me. Thanks though :)

I am not certain of the number of R1 American applicants, however, it would not surprise me if they were all under one or two AO's.

I'm applying as an American and my AO is also CT (applying in R2 though). So I guess you are onto something there. But I wonder why some people (with the same AO) received their invites a lot later than others. The wait must be a torture... and it'll be my turn to go through it soon. :(

I had my first interview today. I met him at a coffee shop and the whole interview lasted about an hour. The questions were all pretty much the same as most people here have reported.

Why MBA?
I told him my goal was to be an entrepreneur, so he asked me about the business model for the company.
Why INSEAD?
Which campuses do you plan on studying?
What do you bring to INSEAD?
Talk about your international experience
How will you resolve conflicts?
What will you do if you don't get into INSEAD / other schools?
What other schools have you applied? (He mentioned that he was asking this only because he has to fill this out in the feedback form)
How many languages do you speak?

Overall was a friendly conversation and I think I did pretty well. He said that he will submit his feedback in the next 24-48 hours. Fingers crossed.

Next interview is in a few days.

The wait seems worse when they do not release decisions on a specific date, as Ross and LBS do.
