Hi Guys,
I just came from my GMAT exam . Well I scored 680 (q-48 , v-35 ) . The preparation was 75% . I am in the process of returning back to India from US (Didn't get H1B) .So these things were a bit of damper in my preparation. Planning to try in mid-July again.
My preparation was very on-off cause all the visa tension and work issue. That's why my practice scores are also all over .
MGCAT 1 : 550 (Q - 38 , V - 28 ) 7 /20/14
MGCAT 2 : 590 (Q - 41 , V - 30 ) 8/10/14
VERITAS FREE CAT : 660 ( Q - 44 , V - 37 ) 9th Aug 2014
GMATPrep (Taken 2 day before the test ) : 610 ( Q -48 ,V - 27) (Verbal-Was not able to complete last question and guessed last 10 question due to time issue)
GMAT ---- 680 (Q-48 , V-35 ) 5/30/15
You can see how on-off my prep was. Not ideal.
Can anyone here please evaluate my profile?
B.Tech Electrical (7.35 /10) ,West Bengal University of Technology
I was working in a German MNC in the feild of industrial gas in India for 3 years after graduation. In-charge of plant operations. 12 diploma engineers under my team. Technical and as well commercial aspect handling in totality of the plant. Created one SOP after a major incident in plant which was successfully mitigated.
MS Electrical (3.58 /4) , Uni of California, Riverside
I started working in US for a telecom company. Was responsible for 4G and 3G rollout in Midwest and part of the west. Data analysis and network optimisation for ATT for the Midwest and West market. Trained people in technologies and prepared training modules. 2years.

Applying only in Europe and India.
I dont have a trust fund.Approx savings $50k. Will need loan (don't know who will give me) /scholarship (I don't know if I am a scholar enough)

What are your target schools?
I know Indians face an uphill climb in US applications but I'm not sure about European ones. I'm sure someone more knowledgeable can weigh in.
From a GMAT perspective:
Verbal:
For verbal, did you go through the Verbal Review 2nd edition? I made the mistake of not going through it the first time I took the test, because I kept reading that it was considered "too easy" for top scorers to use. However, I decided to study from it for my retake and it exposed a lot of weaknesses that I was previously unaware of. If you are planning to retake the test, the Verbal Review, the OG, and GMATPrep question pack are all the question sources you need.
I strongly recommend you watch the "Thursdays with Ron" video series. Ron Purewal is a literal GMAT wizard who is unrivaled in explaining GMAT concepts clearly and concisely. I'm fairly certain that watching Ron's videos single handedly took my score from the mid 600s to 710. Watch any videos in subject areas you are weak in.

Quant:
For quant, there is no reason you shouldn't be able to score a Q50, especially with your engineering background. Ron's Thursday video series really helped me here as well. It just takes a lot of repetition and practice. I recommend doing Bunuel's problems sets. They are located in his sig. GMATclub tests are also helpful, but you'll find that they are way harder than the actual test.
