The equation has two variables ..
let height and weight of Eric =\(h_e\)and \(w_e\)..
and those of Tom =\(h_t\)and \(w_t.\).
the two eqs now are ..
\(w_e= 4.5h_e-154\)..
\(w_t= 4.5h_t-154\)...
we are looking for\(w_e-w_t\)..
subtract the two equations..
\(w_e-w_t= 4.5(h_e-h_t)\)...
so we require either the individual heights OR the difference..
(1) Eric is 4 inches taller than Tom.
this gives us \(h_e-h_t\)
Suff
(2) According to the formula, Tom's recommended weight is 152 pounds.
