Hello Friends,
Here it is the long story or the Short.
GMAT 1: December 12, 2013- GMAT score 530 Q46, V 17
GMAT 2: August 31, 2015- GMAT score 620 Q48, V 27 ( 90 Point Improvement)
GMAT 3: November 05, 2016- GMAT score 680 Q49, V 34 ( 60 Point Improvement)
In total I will say - 150 point Improvement. Though i thought i would hit the mark and make it a 200 point improvement. I had it in my sight till my mock examinations.
My first attempt was just ordinary. I knew i should have not taken my exam
My preparation was poor and i was hoping that something exceptional will happen and I would get what i was looking for. I clearly remember that day when i could not even understand one word of the verbal section. I was just reading the question and marking the answer hoping that i might get it. And i bombed the exam 530 it was.
So, i thought lets leave it and move on. Some time passed, I started again. Joined a coaching center ( One that has a big name in India),took the classes and thought i was ready. That coaching center had one policy. Do a lot of questions and just keep on doing them. That is one way to do it. But that did not help me. I realized that the GMAT is not about learning the formulas. Doing a lot of questions. It was logic and just pure logic. But then i studied, improved and went to my Second Attempt.
Just after the first 10 questions in my Verbal Sections. i realized. This is where i start my preparation for my third attempt. So, i still gave the exam and got the 620.
While walking out i realized. You need to treat GMAT with respect and only then you can master it.
This time around i came across @EMPOWERgmat. EMPOWERgmatRichC you saved me on the day. The Critical reasoning technique was the best thing i found in the course. You made me realize that everything on the CR section is an assumption. Everything. Strengthen, Weaken, Assumption, Evaluate - all are assumptions. So all i did is assumption and your technique those 3 points helped me a lot.
During my exam, for every CR question i made a note of those three things and i knew what i had to look for.
Max from @EMPOWERgmat helped too. Taught me a very valuable lesson. Write everything on the paper. That is why there is a paper. The paper is good the ceiling is not good ( pun intended)
I went for the exam. I was hoping to cross the 700 Mark today. But i fell short. Maybe a 35 would have helped me.
One thing i realized that it is Logic that counts.
My Study Material:
@EMPOWERgmat for Logic
RC- Phase 1- Solved all LSAT passages. There are 116 in total. Took me almost 2 months. 3-4 passages everyday. Started with 0 Accuracy and improved to 80 percent.
SC- Well, i would like to believe that i was good at SC. But @EMPOWERgmat and Manhattan Guides.
CR- @EMPOWERgmat and GMATCLUB
Maths- GMATCLUB Tests
Mocks
GMAT prep 1- 710
GMAT prep 2- 730
GMAT prep 3- 630
GMAT prep 4- 700
I took some other CAT's as well. Someone gave me optimus prep cats
CAT 1- 720
CAT 2- 680
CAT 3- 750
My @EMPOWERgmat advisory help was quick and responsive too. Thank you my contact for motivating me and keeping me on track.
Now that i have a 680. I and hoping that i apply to some colleges . i don't think i will be able to give the exam one more time.

And happy prepping. Stay calm and don't be tensed. Tension takes 50 marks away from the exam. It did take away 50 from my third attempt

To start, a 680/Q49 is a fantastic score (it's right around the 85th percentile overall), so you should apply to any Business Schools that interest you. The improvements to your scores show that you clearly have the capacity to learn, improve and perform better when it counts (with and without the EMPOWERgmat Course), so I expect good things in your future. Depending on the Schools that you plan to apply to, you would likely find it beneficial to speak with an Admissions Expert about your overall profile. There's a Forum full of them here:
