I am confused with the OA. shouldn't which modify the word right before it. Here, which is after Shakespeare and he is obviously not a poem....

Thoughts?
I agree but I think Epitaph on Shakespere is the name of the poem. If that is the case then "which" is correct.

No option is fitting into the statement other than A. We can easily cross out other options. In option A "which" is used in a correct way referring to Epitaph on Shakespeare.

A is correct.
First split is “for....”
That leaves us with options E & A.
E is ruled out as there is. O surety as to what does “ it “ refer to.
