Hi Everyone,

I see that a lot of discussions are going on here regarding the R2 especially regarding the EA scores. And I'm seeking your advice I'm about the submit my application for the extended R2 deadline but I'm hesitating to postpone for R3 because I scored 149 to the EA and I'm thinking of repassing the test again. I'm a little bit disappointed and I'm not sure that will meet SF requirements. Any thoughts?
very surprised of the deadline extension!! no mention of it on the website !!

Last time I was attending an online information session and they've talked about the extension they said that deadline for the R2 final result won't change. Do you have any info on how many people have been admitted so far. I've read earlier in the thread that around 20+ already admitted.
admits are 25 so far..

There are fewer applicants to US bschools this year due the current visa regime. This program being 80+ % international would’ve been most impacted.

Looks like they aren’t able to fill the class with the applicants they want , we have to see if they reduce the class size or change any past trend ; a friend of mine at Stanford gsb mentioned that the msx program is taking far younger applicants and the quality isn’t all what is advertised

Hi peeps- there was a r2 deadline extension. I received a mail close to the original deadline stating that given work constraints etc multiple candidates had asked for an extension, especially due to their inability to take the tests. The deadline was extended to 21st December. They stated that such candidates would also get the decision by 14th February.

I believe that a lower number of internationals could have prompted this and the adcom would have liked to have more candidates at hub cities to make their travel viable- however it is all speculation and in my opinion - everyone should just enjoy the next few weeks as am sure the calls will start pouring in week 1 Jan.

Even on Dec 1st, I got an email stating that the deadline was 4th Dec , must be specific to people who attended the seminars online

Didn’t attend any. Got the mail on 5th. Maybe sent to those who had started their application but were missing a few parts - in my case, the test score and one of the recommendations.

Anyways, I think this is a moot point. The entire idea of going in for a program like this one is to understand that it’s not like the regular programs and the people applying can have work related issues impacting their submissions - very similar to how the EXec MBAs approach the admissions. But again, I do understand the need to get clarity on when the calls would come as that impacts work as well.

All the best everyone and hope there is positive news all around.

That solves many mysteries , they definitely didn’t get enough applicants , or the email wouldn’t have gone out on 5th , yes it’s a moot point , but info on what is happening will quell some uncertainty on why interview invites are delayed

Hello SloanFellow19 - Just Curious - How do you get to know these numbers? Does Adcom publishes any such data or you are well connected... ;)
