Hello everyone!

Could someone give some detailed explanation regarding the difference between AND/OR?

\(ab = b\)

\(b (a - 1) = 0\)

\(b = 0\)
\(a = 1\)

Kind regards!

ab = b

=> ab - b = 0
=> b * ( a - 1 ) = 0
=> Either b = 0 or a = 1

So, Answer will be E
Hope it helps!

a HAS to be 1 if b isn’t 0
If b is 0 then a can be anything , let’s say a = 100
100*0 = 0
And that’s exactly the same as ab = b
If a is 1 then b can be anything , let’s say b = 123456
1*123456 = 123456
This is exactly the same as ab = a
From that we can see that

a = 1 or b = 0

Answer = E
