Hello Folks,
A quick glance at my profile:
1) 12+ years of IT and Pharma Consulting experience
2) 8+ years experience in the USA, rest in India
3) Plenty of leadership experience. Won multiple awards at work.
4) GMAT - pending, IELTS - CLB 9
5) B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering (75%, top 15% in batch)
6) Currently working as Manager in Consulting firm (think Huron, IMS, ZS, LEK). I am on pre-partner track, will get promoted to Associate Partner in 2-3 years
7) Previously worked in reputed IT/Consulting firm (think IBM, Deloitte, Accenture)
Reasons for EMBA: Accelerate career growth in the current firm, opportunities to step into higher management, develop connections. I may also look into swithcing to a different company in a few years (within the same function and industry).
I am planning to pursue the following programs:
1) EMBA from IIT Bombay and Washington University (INR 32 L / $50,000). 18 Months. Classes 4 days per month.
2) Senior Management Program from IIM A (INR 5 L / $7,000). 12 Months. Classes 1-day per week.
Both the programs will give me a boost in developing business skills, open new doors and help me establish connections with experienced folks. I will also be alumni of both IIT and IIM.
Does this seem a good direction to take? Any suggestions?
