Has anyone received an interview invite from Rice?

It is extremely quite in here this year and I'm wondering if there is any specific reason for that. I submitted on 4th October and am yet to hear back from the school.

Look at Clear Admit for timing of Rice R1 interview invites (third week of October). I would expect interview invites to go out over the next two weeks.
