GMAT and EA share the same questions. However, GMAC said Geometry is not tested on the EA (so that is the only one that has been disclosed by the GMAC). Otherwise, it is the same questions/topics/etc.

Hello all and thank you for this information.

Is anyone aware of a new scoring scale for the EA? The GMAC website currently states:

"The scale for each section of the assessment is 0 to 20. The total scale ranges from 100 to 200, and all three sections are equally weighted in determining your total."

Wondering if the maximum score has gone from 174 to 200...

I don’t believe anything has changed. (Or may be a surprise to all of us 😂)I think the language is similar to how GMAT scores are on the scale from 0 to 60 for each section but you can’t really get more than 51 or lower than 6.

Does any Indian B schools refer EA score ?

Yes

Hi, thanks for this informative post! I just had a question on the scoring of EA. Typically how many point deduction is per question wrong in the EA? I had gotten 2 questions wrong in the EA and got a 13 in IR. That seems pretty harsh. Just wondering if you could shed some light on this, thanks!

Check out this article from TTP: Executive Assessment Scoring

The exact point deduction for each incorrect answer in the EA is not disclosed by the test makers. The scoring algorithm takes into account both the number of correct and incorrect answers, as well as the difficulty level of those questions, to determine your final score. Therefore, it's possible to miss only a few questions and still receive a lower score if those questions were more difficult.

Regarding your score of 13 in IR after getting 2 questions wrong, it's difficult to determine the exact cause without knowing the difficulty level of those questions. However, it's possible that the questions you missed were more difficult than average, which could have resulted in a lower score.

Hope it helps.

This chart seems to suggest that a test-taker's overall performance on the IR section of the EA affects the difficulty level of their first stage of questions on both the Verbal and Quant sections—is that correct?

I just gave EA at a center in Dubai. Scored 154. IR-12 V-9 and QR-13. As expected, my verbal is pretty horrible. The other sections saved me. Should be enough for me with 10 + years of experience and a premium educational institution in my CV. The freedom to move between questions helps a lot since this exam is all about time management.

Hi community,
I have been preparing for GRE, already had two tests done. Someone suggested I should be considering EA as an option. In all fairness, I have not practiced GMAT at all.

Would you recommend attempting EA in a month?
Is that something realist or even beneficial to my case?

Hm... I don't know that it would be helpful. It would only be helpful if your programs take EA and if you can score quite above average/current GRE score. EA is not exactly the first choice of a test for most programs except Executive.

What are the test center white boards and markers like? Specifically the size of the white board and whether the markers are fine pointed or 'fat' Expo style dry erase markers?

Also it was not specified, so do test centers also provide an eraser to use?

Hello, thanks for creating this thread, it was very helpful.

I have just finished the Executive Assessment online and ran out of time on the last question of the IR second subsection (last of the 12 questions). I didn't have time to go the review screen and submit the questions... Do you know if the questions are submitted automatically and will count towards my score or this means that the whole subsection of IR counts as a 0?

Thanks!

I have the same issue. Were you able to find out?

Hi. You don't want to be in a situation where you are not answering the questions but all quesitons you have answered will be submitted even if you did not reach the final review/submit screen.

The submit screen is really like a "done" button so you can't go back to review your previous section. It does not impact scoring and if you answer 5 out of 7 (or however many there are IR questions on the second portion of the IR, all the answers you submitted count minus the penalty for not answering/submitting the last 2 questions).

Hi. I'm looking for MBA executive programs in India. Does anyone know that if any colleges accept EA? Because most of the colleges i researched about accept GMAT.
