Dear all,
Request your help in finalising which school to choose for Jan 2021 intake. I have been admitted to IE Business School with a little scholarship and Schulich Business School.
My profile: Indian, Male, Mechanical Engineer, PG in Environment management, 10+ yrs work ex in sustainability consulting
Post MBA goal: To be in the consulting roles (strategic/management consulting), Location neutral.
IE - better ranked, better curriculum, great diversity, but work visa issues post MBA. No job after MBA --> pack your bags and go back.
Schulich - average ranked, good curriculum, 3 yrs work visa post MBA so an opportunity to look for jobs even after MBA.
Request you all to share your inputs so that I can take better decision.

Hi
For strategy and Mgmt consulting roles, There's a preference for local people rather than international and there's a ton of competition in both the countries.
But if you're looking for safe option then canada is the best bet.

I have heard many times that Canadian employers tend to favor WE over the degree. Think of the degree as pass/fail and the WE being the deciding factor in the selection process.... how is your WE? So you have brands, impressive names, etc to show off?
10 years are awesome but super helpful to have brand names for Canada. As to Spain and IE, you need to decide where you will work. If you’re not fluent in Spanish or another European language, you were looking at the Netherlands or the UK which recruits at 80 but does not plan to belong to the EU, possibly some other Scandinavian countries that don’t have a strong language requirement. It’s tricky in Europe. I would definitely connect or ask the admissions to connect you with some of the recent graduates and see what wisdom they can share.
