Thanks.

But the policies are still unclear to me. (I am preparing alone and have no fellow mba aspirants to refer or consult;that's why I am asking such a stupid question ;pardon me for the same)

Still my doubts are unclear

1.i am going to use laptop, so is it compulsory to have external microphone or external webcame other than the ones with laptop.

2.how will I take the photos for authentication (mobiles are not allowed).

Do not worry. The test proctor will use your webcam to take pictures and you will have to show everything related to your room, whiteboard ( remember to show the backside of the whiteboard), marker, and pen. Just be sure that you have a good webcam, keyboard, mouse, and the internet (Microphones are optional). They will chat with you in between the exam if they find any problem.

Switch off your phone and place it somewhere , so that no one can disturb.

Before giving the exam, clean your room and have water bottle with you because there will be no break between quant and verbal.

If possible, be alone in the house because any outside noise will disturb you during the exam.

Just do not panic. Breathe heavily before the exam start.

I am sure you will clear this exam. Remember this is just an exam.

Best of Luck

Thanks a lot prateek for being so patient and helpful..

1.I am going to use my laptop for this exam rather than a personal desktop computer. As you said in last post good webcam, good keyboardand good mouse are must for exam . So having a laptop would be suffice?(obviously if my webcam is working fine) Or do I have to use additional or external webcam .

2.With laptop can i use external wireless mouse also.

You can pickup your laptop and show the proctor around.Dont think you need any additional mic and webcam. He will let you know if he needs any additonal details from you.

Yes you can use external mouse.

If mobiles are not allowed for the exam, how could we take photos and upload for authentication ???

Only for authentication, once it is done, you will have to keep it away

Mobile is allowed until authentication, and uploading photos.
Laptop internal camera and mic will be sufficient, please perform system check provided in MBA.COM

I gave gmat this weekend. So you have 2 options. When you start checkin it will ask you to add phone no. If you add you will get link via text to add your photo, your ID and your surrounding. You need to then take out your phone out of your reach.

If you dont provide phone no you can select I dont have my phone with me option and then you can show everything via Webcam to the proctor once asked.

Well you can if you dont move away from your seat. But the timer will keep going. So you are losing the time you decide to sit calmly.

You have got only 30 seconds between 2.
So, I managed to have 2 mins before final answer and submitted last question by simply sitting calm and prepping my mind for verbal.

Hi all.
I have done my system check and taken care of the other requirements for at-home online GMAT.
Can I book the slot for the next hour whenever I feel ready?
