Hi, are these MBA in India applicants? Also, any idea about their timelines?

Hey! Congrats on getting accepted to Schulich, I received my scholarship about 2 weeks after I got my acceptance letter. I think it is okay to ask Jessica Morgan what the timeline is to get scholarship details.

Impala59
Hi, I was on the waitlist after R1 and just got accepted. However, the mail does not give any details about scholarship. Do I have to accept it and then they will inform me about it?

I already have an admit from John Molson - Concordia which has an excellent ROI. My acceptance to Schulich depends heavily on the scholarship offered.

Hello everyone, I got my scholarship notification from Schulich today($15kCAD). Wanted to ask if anyone has ever tried to negotiate for more money and if yes, how to go about it? I have a forte fellowship from another school with 55% off tuition so the decision is quite difficult. Thanks!

Hi, all!

I submitted my application to Schulich yesterday - just before they were closing the deadline for international students even though they recommend international students to apply by R2.

I had not initially planned on applying but there was a mix-up with my Degroote application and it got pushed to R3 and I applied to Rotman and Schulich just in case. I don't know if my profile is good enough especially because I score particularly low on the GMAT (610). I am 24 years old and I have over 3 years of work experience (1 year in internal audit from Deloitte and 2 years in valuations and deals from a CA firm).

I also have membership from ACCA. In my essay, I have written that my GMAT is lower due to the pressures of juggling two jobs and also, because my Prep test scores were higher - so I thought I was ready for the GMAT.

I have two questions -
a. You guys on the forum have really studied the school - do you think I have a chance at an admit?
b. I submitted my transcripts with the application - however, there was no ask for uploading a Medium of Instruction certificate or a GMAT test report. Am I supposed to email these to the school?

Thanks!

Hello!!!

Well done on submitting your application, I applied in round 2 and I have been admitted. My GMAT score was 600 but I do have about 9 years of experience. I would advise you to schedule a candidacy review with Jessica Morgan where you can speak more in depth about your profile and ask her for honest feedback. It is also a good way to engage with her. The truth is everyone stands a chance, it just depends on how you tell your story and how Schulich can help you achieve your next goals. As per the gmat question, I did send an official report when I applied. All the best :)

Thank you so much for your response and that boost of confidence! (:

May I ask how to get in touch with Jessica Morgan for the said candidacy review? Also, did you just email the GMAT score to the admissions email address on their website? Since I gave my GMAT online, I don't have an official test report, only a screenshot of my results on the GMAC website. I have already requested for my scores to be sent to the school on the website.

Hey!
I had my interview with Vijender Trivedi on 03/05/2021 and I received my admit on 03/10/2021. I had asked him during the interview about the dates by when I can expect the decision. He mentioned that the influx of applications in R2 was a lot more than they had expected and they were conducting interviews until 03/09/2021 and I should hear back from them by 03/11/2021.

Don't worry and stay positive. You should hear back from them in a day or two. 03/10/2021 is not a hard deadline tbh, it is just a placeholder to give you an idea.

Hi all,

I got an admit from Schulich on March 9th, after being waitlisted in Round1. However they did not mention anything about the scholarship in the admit/mail.
Does that mean they are not offering any scholarship or do they send a scholarship mail later?
I've written to them, however they haven't replied yet.

Thanks!

Ohhh I took my GMAT in person so I just had the official score sent to them from the MBA.com website, since you have requested for that as well, you should be fine. I would recommend filling out this form https://schulich.yorku.ca/grad-inquiry/, that is what I did when I was in the process of applying and I was connected with someone in Admissions who then put me in touch with Jessica.

Hi guys,

I have received an admit to the Schulich MBA India program. What are the challenges/demerits of this program as compared to the usual FT MBA at the Keele Campus?

Hey Sam,

A scholarship wasn't mentioned in my admit mail as well but I got a follow up mail from the recruiter that mentioned that scholarship decisions would take a couple of weeks to be released. I got my scholarship decision 2 weeks after my admit mail, I would say give it a couple more days.

Hi luluo,

Thanks a lot!
I've written a mail to then, meanwhile hoping to get a reply soon.
They've asked me to give a decision by March 30th and make a deposit of 3000 CAD. I have already paid the deposit for another school (Texas A&M) becaus I got a good scholarship there and am waiting to hear from another school (Wisconsin). So I was hoping to make a decision and finalize a school before I pay the deposit for any other school.
Do you have any idea if they give an extension for the deposit to be made?

Sam2011 Yea, I feel you on that. When I asked Schulich about a timeline for financial aid/scholarship decisions, I was told that the email would certainly come before the deposit/decision deadline. I applied to Wisconsin too and got a decision last week (waitlisted), I thought they had released all decisions. Is Schulich a top choice for you?
