OA : E
A, b : wrong ( subject verb agreement: plural subject, singular verb)
C, D : “...calculations and sometimes strayed...”
This means that the reasearch teams have strayed but infact the calculations are strayed.
E : correct

Mount Everest is widely recognized as being 8848 meters in height, but research teams from around the world, including Britain, Norway, Canada, and Pakistan, came up with other calculations, which have sometimes strayed a little bit higher, and a little bit lower, compared to that figure.

(A) came up with other calculations, which have sometimes strayed a little bit higher, and a little bit lower, compared to that figure
(B) came up with other calculations, which have sometimes strayed a little bit higher, and a little bit lower, than that figure
(C) have come up with other calculations and sometimes strayed a little bit higher, and a little bit lower, compared to that figure
(D) have come up with other calculations and sometimes strayed a little bit higher, or a little bit lower, than that figure
(E) have come up with other calculations, which have sometimes strayed a little bit higher, or a little bit lower, than that figure

A,B and C are INCORRECT ->because of meaning "a little bit higher, and a little bit lower" calculations can not be a little bit higher and lower at the same time -- they must be higher or lower

D calculations and sometimes strayed up --> wrong use of and

E - correct

IMO E

This one is trickier than the difficulty level suggests
