tamafr, Hey tamafr, if its okay, can I ask, when is your scheduled interview? Im asking because I would like to know how many days does the adcom give you to prepare for it

Hi Andrew, I scheduled for friday, but his agenda let me even look into october, so I don't know really how much time is the maximum they can give you to prepare. I think it would also depends on the Adcom and the global zone they are in charge of.

Hi tamafr, could you please share an interview debrief? Best of luck!

Hi, sure!

It was a really type interview, I googled a few questions beforehand to prepare, and they were pretty similar (you can find them here in gmatclub)

Interview (aprox 45 mins)
• Walk me through your CV (2 mins approx)
• Why Rotman?
• What are your post-MBA goals?
• Which other schools have you applied to?
• Tell me about an experience when you lead a team
• Tell me about a time that you failed. What did you learn?
• Tell me about a frustrating situation? How did you resolve it?
• Do you have any questions for us?

Hope you guys find it useful. I haven't heard back from them yet though, so I can't tell you if I answered these good or not :|

Guy I need some assistance. How far can we go when it comes to achievements? For instance, I have a significant achievement back from 2013. I really want to mention that. But I was in High school back then. Is it irrelevant or should I just go forward and mention it ?

Guys **

Maybe you can add it into your "spike factor" essay??
Like trying to link it into how that experience made you you, or how can this achievement be an asset to contribute to Rotman...
yes I plan to do this. Thanks so much !!

Hi All, Indian (Male) here with ~ 6 years of unique and diverse professional experience in Power and Utilities sector and a Master’s degree from IIT Delhi in the same domain. GMAT score is 700 (Q50 V33). Can anyone help me gauge my chances of getting in to Rotman Full-time MBA?
Hi aumkarB,

There are several criteria that a school considers when determining a candidate’s potential. Some of them are:

1. Academic Excellence: You must be good in this area. Your undergraduate GPA, GMAT score, and professional certifications can all provide insight into your academic rigor. The finest and most realistic factor is the GMAT, where you should aim for a score of 690-700+. Your GMAT score is 700, and it is quite good. However, it depends on your overall profile. If other aspects of your profile are compelling, then they will compensate for the odd one.

2. Remarkable career: Your work experience should indicate outstanding leadership experiences, a significant impact, notable accomplishments, and a strong career trajectory. I feel your six years of work experience will assist you in bringing the same.

3. Diverse Personality: Rotman is extremely distinctive in emphasizing a candidate’s personality beyond work and academics with an adequate combination of fun, deep, and remarkable life experiences. You should discuss your interests, volunteer efforts, and any extracurricular activities you are participating in here.

Overall, your profile appears to be in good shape on the surface. However, I would like to learn more about your profile to properly analyze your chances, as each individual has his or her unique gaps and hiccups in their profile. You can have a look at a profile of a candidate here who had many gaps in her profile but still got into Rotman with a huge scholarship. So, best of luck and be confident in your story!

Feel free to book a free session with us as per your convenience.

Cheers!

1-3 weeks depending on the volume of applications received and how much is your application standing out from other applications. Stay patient, Papi. Your time will come 😁

Hello all, today I got an email requesting an interview from Rotman. It surprised me a lot since I submitted my application last friday. How do you guys think I should prepare for the interview? Is there a trend with interview questions from Rotman? Thanks in advance!

Wow Congratulations. A friend of mine who is a Rotman Alumni recommended preparing answers for Rotman Specific Interview Debriefs available on GMAT club. He also recommended being frank, not too uptight and always having a smile on while giving the interview. Some other alumnis in this group might be able to give some more pointers

If you dont mind me asking, which region are you applying from?

Is the Official GMAT score required while applying or one can submit the unofficial score and then give the official score report once it is available?
