Hello All,
I gave my 2nd attempt today and after the AWA section ended, it flashed my score - 700(Q50 V34) . I wouldn't say the journey was easy or the journey is over

but I would like to share my journey, so that it might help some people out there who are looking for a 700+.
I started my gmat prep in April 2021 with the OG and gave my 1st diagnostic test. I scored a 640 (Q48 and V28) and getting a 640 without any preparation seemed like getting a 700+ would be a cake walk. I used to go through a lot of videos and debriefs where people used to write quotes such as " Gmat 720 in 3 weeks, Gmat 700+ in 1 months, etc" but trust me please don't go by these quotes. Everyone is different, some are very good with quants and some are very good in verbal and some good in both and moreover GMAT is really different from any other competitive exam. Even if you are good you need to be consistent.
I had gone through several reviews & posts and then finally decided to go with EGMAT because of their verbal course. I would really recommend anyone who needs a structured approach to go for a course maybe online, maybe offline but it really helps to structure yourself. I would really recommend EGMAT sentence correction and critical reasoning. They have a very structured approach which will help you first make your basics strong and their questions will then improve your level slowly. Apart from EGMAT, I would recommend everyone to make the best use of GMAT Club. With the EGMAT subscription, I got GMATCLUB CAT tests subscription as well. If Anyone wants to practice some high level quants question then I would really recommend GMATCLUB CAT. They have some really good questions which will make you stronger in quants.
Now coming to the prep, I used to dedicate every day 3 to 4 hours on weekdays and 7 to 8 hours on weekends. It was really difficult to manage office work and daily preparation but I had a goal and I dedicated myself to that goal. I went through all the EGMAT course and completed most of their practice questions. Fast forward, i spent 3 months on this prep and eventually decided to give the exam. However by this time I had given 2 official mocks and had scored 650 and 680. I thought that maybe I will improve myself on the D day and get a 700+ but that didn't happen. I had booked the GMAT online on 23rd July but there were a lot of glitches and at the end i saw 630. My heart sank down after seeing a 630 (Q48,V27) after all my efforts for the past 3months. After putting in more than 300hrs on my GMAT prep my scores went down by 10 points from my 1st diagnostic test.
I did not give up though, found out with the help of EGMAT mocks what was my weak points(no ESR for online). From the analysis, I found that I was lacking in my RC skills so worked on it for the next few days(GMAT ninja youtube videos were a great help) and kept on brushing my quants and other verbal topics as well on frequent intervals. Till yesterday I kept on practicing everyday for more than 3 hours after my office work. But in the end, I would like to give a big thanks to the GMATclub team. I have literally solved each and every gmat prep and official gmat questions available on GMATCLUB. The explanation provided by several experts and moderators were really game changers in SC. I would really recommend everyone to use GMATCLUB, I think there is no better platform where you will get so many solutions and perspective to each and everyone questions. At the end of my post, i have mentioned the resources i used for my prep and my mock scores(to boost your confidence

).
Finally, today I gave my GMAT exam in a test center and it was far better than an online one. No delays, no lags and in the end a score which will boost my confidence and push me to reach my target score of 740.
In the end, I would just like to tell everyone that don't lose hope. GMAT is an exam which tests your patience and consistency. You have to be patient and consistent in your prep and then it will really work out. I used to study a lot of debriefs and used to think that when will I write a one or will I really be able to write a one. But these past 6months have been a journey where I have learnt new things, unlearned some things and then consistently gave my efforts towards gmat prep.
I hope this will help some people in their journey and boost their hopes if you do not get your desired score within 2 or 3 months.
I hope i write an another debrief, probably the last one, once i reach my target score(740
