i have an offer from another school with a good scholarship and i still have not received the decision from rice. My deposit deadline for the other school is 22nd march. Should i mail rice jones explaining them the situation and asking them to release my decision before that?

um i didnt say that directly but that I’d like time to consider

sometimes they say they can only offer for those with extenuating circumstances or case by case, then you tell them.

hopefully by the time they reply, rice will actually have sent you an offer to consider. school one may ask for it

Accepted with a 50K scholarship. I have another offer from a business school (not among the top B.schools) with a 90K scholarship.
Is Rice Business school worth the extra cost? Also, is there room for scholarship reconsideration? Any thoughts?

without being nosey... if you really want rice and the school is comparable, you can definitely let them know, and ask if there are opportunities for increasing aid. especially if youre open to assistnstships and other aid

Thanks so much for your helpful response. Are the assistantships and other aid available for non US residences? I looked for financial aid options but those are only limited for US residents.

Look at the placements
For me personally I’ve gotten into two schools with 50% scholarships and they have lower fees than Rice. But neither of them have MBB recruiting and I want to get into consulting.
So just for that, I’d pick rice if I got in
