Official Explanation

Statement 1

Sort on number of sales in April, and look for stores with the same number of sales. There are several sets: Depot and Kiplinger with 18, Queensland and Riverton with 20, Carlisle and Greenville with 22, Bennington and Eddington with 24, Ashford and Tuxedo with 26, Farpoint and Iverton with 30, Midville and Overton with 32, and Landfield and Northfield with 34. To disprove the claim, you need only find one pair that differ by more than $75,000, so scan down the April total sales column, looking for pairs with significant differences. Most can be assessed with an estimate. The largest difference is Bennington and Eddington, a difference of $498,000 – $423,000 = $75,000.

Answer: True

Statement 2

Sort on length of visit, and average the tenth and eleventh values: (33 + 33.5)/2 = 33.25 is the median length of visit.

Answer: False

But we are checking for April right.? And there are instances of differences greater than 75000$.Can you kindly confirm on the same? Thanks

Agreed - there are multiple instances where this difference exceeds 75k for April, why is the OE using May total sales as the reference point here?

Yeah agree! I thought that the question was referring to April not May?
