it will be sequence like 8,10,12......56.
8+2(n-1) where n=1,2,3....so on
8+2(n-1) = 56
n = 25
hence no of terms are 25 and further they are equally distributed hence sum = 25*(8+56)/2 = 800

In a certain theater, the first row has 8 seats, and each subsequent row has 2 more seats than the row before it. If the last row has 56 seats, what is the total number of seats in the theater?
Since each row has 2 more seats than the row before it, we have an equally spaced set of numbers.
The average of an equally spaced set of numbers is the average of the first and last number.
Average Number of Seats in a Row = (56 + 8)/2 = 32
Sum = Average × Number
Number of Rows = (56 - 8)/2 + 1 = 25
Sum = 32 × 25 = 800

B. 720
C. 800
D. 1,000
E. 1,240

so the number of seats per row are like - 8, 10, 12, ........, 56
Number of rows must be = (56-8)/2 + 1 =25
Sum of all the seats = 25* (8+56)/2 =800
