Hello! I have applied in the May intake (18 May deadline) for HEC. Could someone help me to understand the typical timelines for the next steps? I see that decision date is 20th June - is this for interviews/intake deadlines? When can I typically expect to hear from the University for interviews and when would those take place?

RRK1995 - The whole process from application submission until decision typically takes 4-6 weeks. Based on the interviewer availabilities, the AdCom matches you with 2 alum interviewers within 2-3 weeks of application submission. After the interviews are done and feedback from the alums are received, the decision gets sent out (after a jury meeting) on the decision date.

There are occasionally instances where the process could take longer. Broadly though, these are the timelines.

You can expect to hear about interview invitations within 2–3 weeks after the deadline. If shortlisted, you’ll be invited for two interviews, usually conducted virtually or in person with alumni or members of the admissions committee, likely scheduled between early and mid-June. The June 20th date is the final decision release, not the interview date, so you should receive your admission decision by then. If you haven’t heard back about interviews by June 10, it’s reasonable to reach out to the admissions team for an update. Good luck, everyone! Hey,

Generally, once you submit your application, the entire process — from submission to final decision — takes about 4 to 6 weeks. Typically, within 2 to 3 weeks, the admissions team starts scheduling your interviews by matching you with two alumni interviewers, depending on availability. Once both interviews are done and the feedback is in, your application is reviewed by the admissions jury, which then makes the final decision. While these are the usual timelines, the process can sometimes take a bit longer depending on how quickly the interviews are arranged. But this should give you a good sense of what to expect in the coming weeks. Best of luck!
