Since there are more than 100 respondents, I am assuming any 1% of total respondents will be >=1 person.

1.
At least 4 stars for at least two features
For Home we have 35%(4star) & 24% (5star) = 59%
Similarly for Playback we have = 53+27=80%
Hence YES

2.
52% respondents gave 1 star to Search & 56% gave Support 3 stars
So, number of respondents in each of them should be greater than 8
Hence YES

3.
In three features i.e. Home, Playback and Notifications, 4 star % is greater than 2 star %
Hence NO

The table shows the results of a poll in which more than 100 respondents rated five features of a video-streaming app on a 1-to-5 star scale (1 being the lowest and 5 the highest). Each respondent gave one rating for each feature.

3 stars22%15%10%23%56%
2 stars12%22%6%15%20%
1 star7%52%4%13%10%

For each statement, select Yes if it is true based on the table. Otherwise, select No.

1 star7%52%4%13%10%

For each statement, select Yes if it is true based on the table. Otherwise, select No.
Question 1:

At least half of respondents gave at least 4 stars for at least two features.

Atleast four stars includes 4 and above. Given that the number of respondent is greater than 100 and each respondent gave a rating for each category.

Let’s assume the total number of respondents to be 100.

Home = 35%(100)+24%(100) > 50%(100).

Playback = 53%(100)+ 27%(100) > 50%(100).

So , TWO features have satisfied this criteria. Hence, YES.

Question 2: At least eight respondents gave Search 1 star and Support 3 stars.

52%(100) gave SEARCH category one star rating.

56%(100) gave SUPPORT category 3 star rating.

Hence, YES.

Question 3: In exactly two features, the percentage at 4 stars exceeds the percentage at 2 stars.

Let’s look into the features where the % of 4 star EXCEEDS the % of 2 Stars.

Home: (4 star 35%) > ( 2 Star 12%).

Playback: (4 star 27%) > ( 2 Star 6%).

Notifications : (4 star 31%) > ( 2 Star 15%).

We have 3 features, NOT Exactly 2 features. Hence, NO.

Bunuel For question 2, if at the maximum, 52% gave search 1 star and 56% gave Support 3 stars, how do we find the overlap? Why is it 56+54-100? Is it a formula or just a logic gap I have?

It is just overlap logic.

52% of the respondents gave Search 1 star, and 56% of the same respondents gave Support 3 stars. These two percentages add up to 108%. Since there are only 100% of respondents, at least 8% must be counted in both groups: those who gave Search 1 star and Support 3 stars.

So the minimum guaranteed overlap is 52 + 56 - 100 = 8%.

I didn't get part 1 lots of confusion 1st 4 stars or higher means 4 and 5 or 4 ,3,2,1 2nd at leasr two so if we check search 3+8 =11 less than half if we check playback more than half similarly 4 star and 3 star for home its more than half for playback less than half. Please clear my doubt

“4 stars or higher” means 4 stars or 5 stars, not 4, 3, 2, and 1 stars.

Now check each feature:

Home: 35% + 24% = 59%
Search: 8% + 3% = 11%
Playback: 27% + 53% = 80%
Notifications: 31% + 18% = 49%
Support: 10% + 4% = 14%

Home and Playback are both at least 50%. Therefore, at least two features satisfy the condition.

Answer: Yes.
