I heard from a current student that all who are lucky to get scholarship will be called on 17th...and remaining not so lucky, but yet fortunate on 18th... But..major calls will go out on 18th only...so dont lose heart in case you dont hear on 17th
I don't know whether I believe that. Everyone last year reported dings at 9 am on decision day that did not get an admit the day before. If I do not get a call today/tom , I will be going to bed tom night thinking I got rejected

Same here terp. Only reason to think otherwise is if the only GMATClub admits posted tomorrow are admits w/ $$$. If we see a bunch of regular admits today/tomorrow - I'm going to go to bed tomorrow defeated.
[ I doubt there will be any dings today...those happen thursday.

I am trying to believe in the power of the FAIRIES!!!
i.e. - (already know that dings arent arriving today) However, if I do pray and dings don't arrive - it works as if fairies do exist and my wishes are coming true.
So tomorrow, using the same logic - I can ask for admit and maybe, and MAYBE, I will get good news....
While we're waiting, let's give a hand to Chicago's two notification dates (mid-decision and final) and relatively prompt decision-making process. A welcome contrast to the "we extend interviews until the end of January" nonsense at other schools!

agreed. They have been on the ball in the process.
Now I will also pray to the Booth Fairy.......please accept us.

Chicago is the most professional school I have dealt with thus far in the admissions process.

Definitely agree. Also the most welcoming. Other schools' visit programs simply don't compare to GSB Live.
I will be traveling the next days taking advantage of my winter break here in the warm in rainy Brazil, so I most likely won't be able to see here the results. Anyway, I'm rooting for you guys!
hey - just a random question - I was checking my status on the GSB website and noticed that recommendation verified is a NO. Is that true for others? Just wondering since everything else has been verified.

Mine still says "yes" under recommendations verified.

Oh man, I am getting frigging nervous now! Add me to the R1 list!

Just read last year's thread, starting on the night before calls and going through the day of calls. Very interesting & fun to read. They were just as nervous as we are. Also, it's good to see that they didn't start calling until a little after 2pm, EST. So not getting a call by 11am is not necessarily a bad sign.
Best of luck to everyone waiting for the decision tomorrow. I'm a R1 applicant too and I've FINALLY given in t obsessively checking the forums... sigh and i'd been doing so well!! There goes any chance of getting any work done tomorrow!!
