Great to hear about all the recent positive interviews. I had mine on campus this past week and the questions were really straightforward, as everyone else is reporting. I was also able to submit Part 2 of the app in time for Round 1. Unfortunately, only one of my recommenders submitted on time, with the second still not done. I asked about this scenario at the end of the interview and was told that there is some leeway but that the longer it takes to be complete then the greater the chances of not being notified with everyone else in Round 1. If the rec isn't done at the beginning of next week, I'll be contacting Adcom again. This is so stressful . . .

Another interview question: If it's on-campus interview and the interviewer is an adcom or student, shall we exchange business card with the interviewer?

Hi,

I believe that the same page which you sumit your activites in college has an additonal section for you to submit your activites post-university. Just scroll down and you will see it.

another question related to interview scheduling - i will be overseas for a month starting dec 8. should i schedule an off-campus interview now or not risk it and schedule an on-campus one in a month? what was the timeline you all experienced for off-campus interviews from the date you submitted Part I? chicago is a 5 hour drive from me so i might just drive up again.

Hi niraja,

I think the first question is whether you are more comfortable interviewing with adcom or with alumni. if you havent visited the campus, you can schedule the on camous interview, since its only a 5 hr drive for you.( lucky you :-)). Anyway its better to just mail the adcom and tell them about your overseas plan, and maybe they can work out something for you.

normally the off campus interview calls range from 2-4 weeks or more, depending on the alumni in your location.

All the best for your application.

aha, valid point. i think i'll be more comfy with an alum but then wowing adcom in-person could work in my favor too. i've already done my campus visit awhile back. again, thanks for your advice !

question about part I - if I had a supervisory part-time job in college, is the "Activities" section the appropriate place to mention it, since the Employment History section specifies "full-time" ?

please help. i was looking to get this submitted today.

I guess the activities section is more for extra-curricular activities.
So if you think your supervisory-job would fall under extra currcular , then put it there.

cheers
