I applied a few hours before the deadline on 1/07.
Received my interview invite yesterday at around 10:30am
Anyone have interview advice specific to Yale? The email said it would be with a second year MBA student.
Thanks!
Congrats on the interview invite. I interviewed at Yale in mid-November and was admitted for Round 1. While your interview will probably be with a second year, make sure you have some questions ready if you happen to interview with an admissions officer. I ended up interviewing with Bruce, the director of admissions, and was totally unprepared with questions, stumbling by asking some obvious ones, luckily it didn't cost me.
As for the interview, make sure you know the school and show passion for it by reading up the different sections on their website. There is nothing tricky, as it pertains to the interview, just make sure you know your resume cold and know your short and long term goals. It is also a blind interview, the interviewer has only seen your resume and nothing else, so you can use the stories you used in your essays. Since the class size is small and close-knit, they just want to make sure you fit into their overall student body (e.g. socially conscious leader who get along well with others).
Hope that helps. PM me if you need more information on my interview.
