nink (or any current students ) - what's the housing situation like for students at SOM? do they live on campus in dorms? do they live in the surrounding new haven area in apartments/studios?

Sorry for the late reply. School is back in session...


I live in an apt 5 minutes away from Yale campus. A lot of people (most I think) live in either apartments or residential houses (rental) around New Haven. I met couple of people who found a nice(r) apts or houses slightly farther away from the campus but they have cars. Some people do live on campus, but these "dorms" are kinda old and small.

Plenty of landlords and rentals are around New Haven, renovated and offered specifically to Yale students. So don't worry too much.
