yea i was finally able to login to 2012 this morning - guess they finally fixed the errors.

to hokie: in my experience there wasn't enough room to talk about several things in the short essays, so i just had to pick one major theme and focus on expanding it.

Can I ask you a question about the Kroll background check? I'm currently working in the country on an H1B visa, and my legal stay in the country depends on my employment status. I'd like to keep my job for as long as I can (hopefully right before school starts). Will Kroll contact the HR person in my current company for employment verification? Or will they contact my recommender? I would really hate alerting the HR people about my intention to go to B-school this early.....

That honestly describes the aspiration of many students here. Yale encourages us to be just more than business men and women. They want us to be more than that. And many people make good on that promise once they choose to attend here. We get involved in a lot of community work as students and etc.

What's up everyone?

I got an email to interview for Round 1 a day before the Decision deadline, and I was wondering if anyone else is in the same situation. I haven't scheduled my interview yet since the school is on winter break.

Just feels weird to be have a late interview invite...nice but weird.

Is an on-campus interview necessary? And if not, does interviewing in your local city (i'm in Beverly Hills) jeopardize your admissions chances?

redcarpet received interview invite right before R1 deadline as well.

For interview, no it's not required to do on-campus interview. Call admissions office and let them know of your situation and they will try to arrange an off campus interview in your area. But on campus interview is highly recommended, unless you have a unique problem that prevents you from traveling to campus.

I was hoping for the R1 admits to be about 100-130 people. And the current number of registered-admitted students is 35.

It took me awhile to figure out how to make my profile public. Most people probably haven't played around with it enough to figure out that they don't automatically show up. I think it's a great marketing tool - if you get to know and like the students who will be in your class, it makes it much easier to choose YSOM.

I think I got mine in about a week, last year. Hopefully they sent it out before the holiday break for you guys. Otherwise, it might be little longer

Also, happy holidays everyone. And good luck with all the other applications that you guys are waiting on. Hope everyone gets admitted to the school of their choice.
