When are ppl (who applied through the Consortium) expecting to hear from the following?

Michigan - Ross
Indiana - Kelley
CMU - Tepper
USC - Marshall

I realize that this clearly is not an exact science, but it feels better to speculate then just sit back and wait all alone. I'm wishing everyone Good Luck. Also, when are ppl thinking that they will hear word about the CGSM fellowships? I have to give Olin a decision by March 15th. That could leave me with a matter of minutes to accept or reject.

Kelley (Indiana - not Kellee Scott) sent out a lot of notifications to CGSM applicants last Friday, so if you're waiting to hear from them, I would follow up. As far as the membership/fellowship part, Brad Rosenwinkel (from Kelley) mentioned in his e-mail that the schools were meeting this week and that we would hear directly from the Consortium (via mail) the week of the 15th. However, after reading all of these posts, it seems like every school has a different policy. So basically, I don't think any of us knows for sure.

Good luck to all waiting -- esp from USC since they were supposed to get back to you guys yesterday.

I just called Carnegie Mellon and they claim that Consortium decisions will be mailed out on March 15th, just like the regular R2 applicants.

Problem is, this doesn't mesh well with what UT said. UT said the consortium fellowship decisions will be mailed out this Friday.

Man ... I had been really really good waiting for awhile, but now the wait is killing me. The worst part is that I'm probably not going to a Consortium school anyways, but I want to at least start weighing my options.

Hey EmElleDub and Maxtor, thanks a lot. Yeah, I guess no news isn't always necessarily good news, but I have some decent options. Wouldn't it be great if each school had a clear and outlined procedure that they would actually stick to. Each school has a different reply date, and it looks like none of them truly use that date so it puts everyone in a rush to find out the news. Well I'm just going to rest in the Lord and believe that in His time I'll hear from the school I need to hear from. Let's keep everyone updated, and thanks again.

I just realized, are the only schools that released their R2 decisions schools that do rolling admissions?

I know Texas does (and I heard from them). I'm not sure about Emory, but they don't seem to have any dates on their website which leads me to speculate that they do.

Anyone else got theories?

YSOM released all their R1 and R2 decisions on one date; they don't have rolling admissions

By looking at the roll call it seems like most are rolling. Except for tuck and yale. I heard from tepper way back in january (I applied Rd 1).

I just got an email reply from UT asking about the March 5th time that they had stated. He said that UT will be releasing financial information on the 5th. He made it seem like it didn't apply to the rest of the schools in the Consortium.

*sigh*

Hey all,

I went to Kelley's Women Conference and got to meet some of the faculty. I emailed then last Friday and was told that all admission decisions would be finalized by second week of this month so lets be patient. So far I've been dinged from Yale and Cornell but I'm not surprised!

Thanks for the info ssantos78. Yeah, it seems like a few people have heard from Kelley, but for the most part many people (like myself) are still waiting. I guess we'll have to just sit tight.

So I got accepted into a Consortium school and the final date to notify them is on March 15th. This is same day that the CGSM fellowship decisions are supposed to be mailed out. Obviously that fellowship may play a part in my decision. Anyone know how all that is going to time up?? They could make this process so much easier!!

I would call them and ask for an extension. I don't think that's unreasonable if they're a consortium school that they wait until all information is released, including Fellowships. I beleive most schools adhere to an April 15 +\- 2 weeks that you have to notify them if you choose their school or not. Kinda shady to say pick without all the information you should have per their agreement to be a Consortium school. Just my 2 cents.

I couldn't seeing any of these schools really putting you in a situation like that. I have always been told that you can ask for an extension on the deadline, and in your case you seem like a prime candidate for that.

I called USC today and they said Kellee Scott is at the Consortium meeting in STL and wont be back till Friday. That means that they are probably finalizing the awards even as I write this! Which means that we should get a response BEFORE the 15th. An elaborate conspiracy theory??

Btw, any R1 applicant out there still waiting for an admit decision from USC?? No word here....

USC is a hot mess this year. Didn't they tell Consortium applicants that they would send out decisions on Monday 3/1? It's now Wednesday!

Based on Case2010's conversation with them, looks like we aren't finding out until next week. :(

if SC's track record is any measure for the future, i highly doubt we'll hear anything on Friday either. That just means Kellee Scott will be back in LA on the 15th. It doesn't mean she'll immediately hand over the Up/Down list and send out the mass email that day.

Who knows, she might return my email and we might be able to get something a little more concrete within the next few days. For me, I've moved on to stress out over other schools.

I've been admitted to The Consortium. Just got paired up with a mentor from the Consortium for Texas, who happens to be an alumnus of the same school that I attended for undergrad. Anyone else receive a similar email? I wonder if I get accepted to another member school, will they provide me with a different Consortium mentor specific to that school...anyone know?

congrats on being admitted to the program. i don't know about the mentors; i'd imagine you would get a school-specific one, but that's just conjecture.

also just so you know, putting a school name in blue (under your screen name) means you've been accepting and are matriculating there
