HI, guys
Now i just got a master in supply chain management at TOP 20 business school in the Unites States
But now i also have a opportunity to work for Rural Credit Cooperatives in china.
i don't know which one can better match my career path?
Now my plan is that i want to defer for one year to enroll the master, work first at Rural Credit Cooperatives
how do you guys think of my plan and Rural Credit Cooperatives?
if i work for RCC, have to work at Rural in China and RCC focus on helping poor people and farmers. So does that make me stand out?
OR i should directly studying master in business school?

The question ultimately comes down to what you want to do as a career, not what school/degree you want.
If your career goal is to into social sector, I definitely think you should work for RCC. MBA is only a gateway to a fulfilling (hopefully) career, and not the end goal. If you can have that fulfilling career without an MBA, there is no need to spend 100s thousands on an MBA from an elite school.
Alternatively, if your heart isn't in social sector, then I would recommend that you do not work for RCC just for a resume booster. You will just be miserable and regretting your decision the entire time you are there. Your work probably will suffer, which will lead to weak essays and/or recommendations. Keep in mind, life in rural China is difficult. The sanitation isn't up to western standards. There isn't A/C or daily hot showers. And medical care is limited as well.

Hi Michael,
The answer depends on your projected career path. What would you like to do after MBA?
If you are planning to work in the social sector, I agree with asimov that getting relevant experience is important. If not, tell us a little more on what you plan to after your MBA to enable us to guide you further.
