May I ask here how many people are still waiting for an interview invite?

I submitted not long before the deadline, and has been waiting. Seems quite a lot of people are getting results these couple of days. Feeling the wait has been a bit too long. Want to check how many people are in the same situation.

sorry if this question has been answered before - but does anyone know how to convert an India undergraduate degree to a GPA

e.g. 60% is the second highest pass mark group so is that 3.3 or 3.7

70%+ is Merit
60%+ is First class
50%+ is Second Class
40+ diploma
below 40% - Fail

Hi, I am also from India (University of Delhi) and I converted to GPA using my own conversion scale and explained it in the optional essay! Got an interview call too, so I guess this strategy works.

Congrats and All the best for the interview! When did your app go into review and when did the interview invite come?

Well i finished my app by 10/6 but there was a goofup with my Toefl scores so took it again! So i finished my application by 10/18 and went under review the next day. Got the invite by 11/7 and had my interview early this morning by an alum in Delhi.

Thanks! do you mind sharing your conversion scale?

My GPA Conversion table for CBS:

Percentage Equivalent GPA US Grade Equivalent Classification
81 to 100 4.0 A or (A+ for >90%) Distinction /Honors
61 to 80 3.5 B+ First Division
51 to 60 3.0 B Second Division
36 to 50 2.5 C+ Third Division
< 36 2.0 C Fail

Hope this helps!

i'm waiting also...10/6 submit, approximately 10/15 under review...haven't heard anything

looking above though, there was someone submitting 10/5 that just got the interview...I think that they probably are just getting to the majority of the 10/1-10/6 applicants as there are only 2 10/5 or 10/6 applicants on the spreadsheets that have gotten interview invites (per the spreadsheet)

keep up hope...i'm tyring to

Hey All,

Quick Question.

I submitted my application on the 15th. Got a status update today from CBS stating that my application was incomplete without the TOEFL. Fortunately I got my TOEFL score today as well. Now my question is who should I email the score to ?

[email protected] ?

I've already requested the official score to be sent directly, but that will probably take some more time.

Thanks.

Quick question, not sure if anyone has a concrete answer but am just throwing it out there: When in December does CBS start reviewing the Regular Decision apps? Is it middle of December, beginning? Thanks.

Roll call: who out there is waiting for a final decision after having an interview? When did you status change to "interview complete"?

I interviewed on 11/4, went complete on 11/5 and haven't heard anything since. Just trying to gauge how I should interpret the silence.

was it important to estimate the Private Loans part? I am from India. and raising loan in US is difficult. I just put in a number for the funds I could provide. Also was it important to explain the GPA scale?

In case these are important, and because I didnt mention them, do I need to talk to the admissions department?

When I went to a Columbia Business School off-campus event a couple months ago, the admissions staff person conducting the session gave the impression that they didn't have a set date to start reviewing September-entry regular decision applications. That said, she said that last year, they started their rolling review of completed regular decision applications by the middle of December, and expected that they would do the same this year as well.

Maybe someone with more current information can chime in too.
