I was a Round 1 Consortium applicant, applying to Haas, Ross, Tuck, SOM, Anderson, and Stern. For me, the ranking step was agonizing me since (1) it was difficult to even select only six programs from the member schools, (2) the programs that I selected offer so many unique strengths and opportunities and I am--after putting in hours upon hours of research and outreach--genuinely excited about all six. It would be an honor to attend any of the six and it concerns me that my "bottom half" of the ranked schools might be insulted by a "low" ranking.
My candidacy falls into the realm of “nontraditional” student. I have spent the last decade in both the public sector (working on Capitol Hill) and on the policy side of the energy industry. Additionally, given my decade of work experience, I am on the older side of the applicant pool—fingers crossed that both my work experience and life experience appeals to the aforementioned program

Looking forward to exchanging ideas and moving forward together in the process! Best wishes to all.
