I need some help here.. do you guys suggest sending just the 6 pages of the application form to the interviewer or the entire PDF? I wondering whether it will help if the interviewer knows my story. On the other hand, he will know everything so that may make our dicussion a little boring (provided he has read all my essays)

I had the same thoughts. In the end I sent them the whole file because it was easier and I thought if they want to read them, they can. You should have enough to talk about outside of what's in the essays - plus the essay content could actually drive some of the discussion. I thought the more they know about me, the better.

Why dont you ask the interviewer? I asked him straight away which part of the application he would like to see and he asked me to send the complete bunch.

I am done with both of my interviews. Both interviewers were very nice and engaged. Some standard questions, Why MBA, Why Now, Why ISEAD? Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

I got into good discussion with both of my interviewers after the standard questions. We talked about their impression, campus life, experience. They give me some good insights and suggestions in terms of career search and placement.

Hello everyone,

All the best to all the R-1 applicants interviewing/waiting for results!

I am planning to apply in R-2 and have a query regarding Job Essay-2. I would be really grateful if anyone can provide me an insight.

Second part of the Job Essay-2 is:
"If you were to remain with your present employer, what would be your next step in terms of position?"

My case - I am from a family business background and planning to return to my business post-MBA.
As per my understanding, INSEAD is asking what would be my next position without an MBA and probably it should not be same as a short-time goal... but for me, I am not looking for a "change of position" from my MBA and with or without MBA, my role be pretty much the same. Will that be a bad answer?

Would your role be exactly the same or would you be taking on more responsibilities sooner if you had your MBA? There must be a reason you are planning to do your MBA. If the role and responsibilities would be exactly the same with or without - maybe you could explain how you think the MBA would help you do your job better.

Normally I don't like to bother admissions departments, but in this case I would. Others who were invited around Nov 5 were told to try and have the interviews completed by Nov 30. You won't have much time to schedule and complete them if you don't have the details soon.
Where are you located? It is possible they are having problems finding alumni in your area to interview you.

Just done with my only interview yesterday.

My interviewer is Senior Executive of a leading boutique hotel and spa chain in Thailand and Maldive.

The interview was very informal and took place at a cafe near his office. Most of the questions are typical MBA interview questions, career goal, why MBA, why INSEAD and why now. I can sense that his focus is on why INSEAD and did ask me a number of questions related to this.

I think i had made my points and did pretty okay in the interview, lets see when the result come out next month.

My role would be pretty much the same (as it is a manufacturing SSI) - except that I will be putting some processes in place and working mainly on the expansion plans. However, I am using Career Goal essay to talk about my business growth plan and how MBA will be helpful at this time. I am concerned that I will not be using Job Essay-2 wisely if I am repeating any of career goals here..
