IN!!!

Anxiety has given way to elation! Congrats to all!
wow after almost striking out everywhere you get into the school with the lowest acceptance rate.

Yeah, trust me, I wasn't expecting this one to be the 1/6.

My background does make some sense though: entrepreneur, international - not standard in other words. So it may not appeal to many, but clicks well with few.

So theoretically we should have calls until 5PM PT, when the emails will be sent out.

Any calls reported today?

I hope there are calls today. But I have a feeling there will not be anything. R1 didn't seem to have any calls, and the dings went out at 12pm EST according to the forum. My fingers are crossed. This is tough.

Long time lurker... Derrick is definitely still making calls today because I got the call about 30 minutes ago! I was in complete shock, but he is definitely still making calls today! I am in London. Good luck everyone!

Congrats!

Those of you who have gotten the call- if you're comfortable sharing at this point- how much personal involvement with Alumni/admissions did you have throughout the process, and how much time did you spend on campus prior to applying?

I'm from the East Coast. I visited campus in the Fall and attended an off campus info session. I did not have any alumni recs but spoke to one current student and one alum prior to applying. They did not review my essays or applications. Nevertheless, I will stress the importance of having a really good Why Stanford answer in your essays and interview. During my interview, my interviewer actually complemented me on my response so I'm guessing that helped me.

Good work! I've gotta ask though, what was the response?

Another Ding here. I'm a little sad because I really loved my visit at Stanford and would love to be a part of such a fine institution and have such great access to the bay area technology. That said, I now have to debate between Kellogg and HBS, so I'm not too upset.

CONGRATULATIONS to those of you who made the cut! You will have a wonderful time at Stanford and great things are ahead of you in life. And heck, to those of you who didn't get into Stanford - just the fact that you were even applying means you're all pretty fantastic, smart, energetic people. It would be great to see a survey of where we all end up 5 years from now - I'll bet the list would be pretty impressive!
