Question to the community:
I applied in the first round and got waitlisted. I just got waitlisted again today. Does anyone have insight into why Stanford would choose to waitlist me twice? Why not make their decision regarding my admission today? Do I still have a reasonable chance of getting in? or is it unlikely?

Thanks!

I'm guessing there's something about you that they really like. There's probably something about your profile though, that overlaps with a bunch of other candidates. So you're pretty close to a perfect candidate but not quite. So they're waiting to see how other things play out. They clearly don't want to lose you. So they keep you on the waitlist.

CONGRATS to the admits!!!

for those waitlisted, what additional materials (if any) did you send in? it says in the WL faq

"What can I do to help my chances? Can I meet with Faculty or staff? Should I send additional recommendations? Can I arrange an interview?

It is appropriate for you to reaffirm your interest in Stanford by sending a brief letter to the MBA Admissions Office. Additional submissions are neither requested nor suggested to be admitted from the waitpool."

Did you all send a letter? How long? snail/e mail? Or was this just the online form that you submit to claim a place on the WL?

Thanks for your advice.......arg...... :(

Hey guys, got wait listed here as well. Does anyone else have an idea of how big the wait list pool is here (it sounds like it's a lot smaller than Wharton's), and did anyone else get some movement from R1? Trying to keep the hope!

The FAQ doc said that there are ~50 on WL from rd 2. Don't know if that includes the rewaitlisted folks from rd 1. The faq also said that some years no one is taken from the WL.

ding. Guess I should've had a backup other than HBS, but no other programs really seem to fit what I was looking for.
