If you read the boards from last year - R3 invites didn't go out till the beginning of May - have there been any indications that this won't be the case this year?

Anything else you gleaned from the DB conversation that warrants sharing here?

Thx

Not really to be honest.

The discussion wasn't "What's up with Round 3", it was "Applying to Stanford". I threw in the R3 question as early as I could, and he just said that they have Begun to send out interview invitations and will continue to do so through early May.

The remainder of the discussion was geared towards application questions, ex: "what is the minimum GMAT score?" etc.

Trust me, I would share if I knew anything else. My takeaway was to keep my hopes up until about the 10th-15th of May (no, DB did not give a date).

Do you (or anybody else) know whether they do invites in waves or it's just rolling and they go out piece by piece?

I hate that I applied so late, but keeping the faith!

I was in the same session as well with Businessweek. What I gathered was that it just goes out rolling. They will continue to send invites until the deadline itself.

Yes - Got the same impression.

If you go back on this thread, you can see that Stanford releases the invitations in steady waves.

Just out of curiosity, what was his answer?

Thanks.

Can't remember specifically. Anyone who was on the chat - feel free to jump in...

I think he just said that he's accepted as low as 540 before and that the lowest in the last class was a 580. I think he just said that Stanford's class generally has very competitive scores.

Generic questions like that generally won't get a response that differs much from the already publicly available information that they post on their site. I think DB and other admissions folk are pretty intentional about their responses to questions like those because if they wanted to divulge anything further, it would already be on the site...

The transcript will be up soon according to the person who setup the chat. I'll post a link here when it comes.
