Does anybody know about the teaching style of Cornell? Is it case study based or theory based or both. I had a talk with a member of the admissions office and she said it depends on the immersion you take and you will get to know in detail in your first semester. I've applied for Semester in Strategic Operations with Consulting focus.

It really is both. There are a fair number of cases, regardless of which immersion you do but it's not exclusively case studies like Darden for instance. From your core classes, there are lots of cases discussed in Strategy, Marketing, and even Operations.

I agree it is somewhat limited, but there are scholarships out there. There is a fair number of current students who are scholarship recipients albeit those scholarships tend to be of nominal value especially if from third-party private sources.
