Hello,
Looking for some useful guidance here.
I have been admitted to Tuck, LBS and INSEAD (January intake).
First, a bit of background contextRaised and worked in EMEA country for 3.5 years in audit before being recruited in Netherland as consultant for an industrial group. I have been in this position for 2.5 years.
Objectives:I am interested in joining a PE fund dedicated to emerging markets (with a strong preference on Africa) active either in London, Paris or Geneva/Zurich or directly located in Africa. I would be totally ok to do a stint in IB before switching to PE.
As a career changer, I believe (i) academic/club training, (ii) strong brand recognition and (iii) alumni network would be critical to help me reach my goals.
So I believe it comes down to :
- Which school will provide more resources given my short term objective (should it be IB)?
- Which network could prove more useful when I will have to land a PE job matching my location and portfolio geography objectives?
If in addition, I could be with a bunch of fun people, it would be nice -though I am a neutral on city/suburb location- !
Thanks for your help!
PS: I don't know yet if (and how much) I will receive scholarship from these schools but let's assume that money is not a strong problem.
